B. Anantharaman
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
|
B. Anantharaman is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Gumberg and heads the business operations in India. He has over 30 years of top level experience in the areas of finance, strategic planning, business operations and general management at senior board positions in India and in international locations across Europe, USA, and Asia.
Prior to joining Gumberg, Mr. Anantharaman was the Joint Managing Director of Max India Ltd., one of India’s most successful diversified business conglomerates with revenues in excess of USD $ 1 billion and assets under management of over USD $ 1.3 billion. In this position he successfully restructured the pharmaceutical and telecom businesses and spearheaded the Company’s foray into the service businesses of Life Insurance, Healthcare and Clinical Research. With deep capital market and M&A experience, he successfully secured significant amounts of capital, both equity and debt. He also served on the boards of Max New York Life Insurance Company Ltd., Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., and Hutchison Max Telecom Ltd.
Mr. Anantharaman has wide experience in managing international joint ventures with Fortune 100 companies and is well networked in the financial and business community in India. Mr. Anantharaman was previously with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for sixteen years, where he held senior positions including board appointments in expatriate postings across Asia and Europe.
A graduate of Loyola College, Madras University, Mr. Anantharaman is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost & Works Accountant, and Company Secretary, and is a Fellow Member of all three Indian Institutes. |

Bharat Moossaddee
Chief Financial Officer |
| Bharat Moossaddee is the Chief Financial Officer, with responsibilities which include oversight of all financial, legal, accounting, and IT functions of Gumberg India, as well as assisting the sponsors with all capital raising efforts. He has had over 20 years experience in stakeholder management, financial management, and fund raising with multinational corporations particularly in start-ups and new projects. Previously he worked as group CFO with Hazira group of companies, a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell and Total Gas (France), involving an investment of more than a billion dollars, and group turnover exceeding USD 2 billion. Mr. Moossaddee has held Chief Financial Officer positions with Vedanta group, Delphi Corporation, General Motors India, and Birla group. Mr. Moossaddee is a Chartered Accountant and MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. |

Abdul Rab
Senior Vice President, Leasing & Business Development |
Abdul Rab is Senior Vice President – Leasing & Business Development with responsibilities including oversight of all revenue generating corporate activities, including leasing, marketing, business development and anchor tenant relationships. Abdul has in excess of 14 years experience in the commercial real estate business. Previously as Director-Business Development with Carrefour India, he was responsible for the roll out of their Cash and Carry formats pan India. With wide experience in retail leasing and tenant relationships Mr Rab served as General Manager-Retail with SunCity Projects having leased over 5 million square feet of prime mall properties.
Mr Abdul Rab is a MBA (Finance & Marketing) from the Faculty of Management Studies & Research, AMU, Aligarh. |

Sushil Sharma
Senior Vice President – Construction |
| Sushil Sharma, Senior Vice President, Construction, is responsible for all of the construction activities of the company, and ensures delivery of the malls to all specifications, quality, design, and in accordance with timelines. Mr. Sharma joined Gumberg India from DLF, where he held the position of Vice President - Construction for Retail, and recently constructed a 3 million sq. ft. mall in Saket, Delhi. A civil engineer, he has over 23 years of experience in the construction of shopping malls, infrastructure projects, hotels, commercial complexes, and SEZs. His prior companies include Coca-Cola India, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Hotel Hyatt Regency, and Bajaj Group. Mr. Sharma holds a B. Sc in science and B.E. in Civil Engineering from Mangalore University. |

Sanjeev Sachdeva
General Manager, Legal |
Sanjeev Sachdeva is General Manager, Legal of Gumberg India and heads its legal department. He has over 20 years of experience in the legal and corporate secretarial functions. Prior to joining Gumberg, Mr. Sachdeva was working as Partner in MINE & YOUNG, a full service law firm with its core areas of practice being Real Estate, Corporate and Intellectual Property Rights. Mr. Sachdeva has wide ranging experience in Real Estate, Corporate law and Intellectual Property Rights. He has transactional experience in the areas of urban development laws, infrastructure development laws, intellectual property and company law. He also has vast experience in comprehensive land and property legal due diligence, joint ventures, joint development and collaboration, structuring real estate transactions, documentation, leasing, property conveyancing, complex infrastructure development documents, acquisitions and mergers, shareholders’ issues and company formation. He has also handled several litigation matters.
He is a Law graduate from University of Delhi. |
